Expired and Satisfied CCJ's

Hi there,

I have an expired and satisfied CCJ for £1600. It was satisfied in 2011 and expired earlier this year. I have been saving for years and now have enough to put a deposit down. I have had an in principle mortgage offer too. My credit score is 990 out of 999.

My question and worry is what if they ask the question 'have you EVER had a CCJ'. Am I likely to be turned down when I answer truthfully and say yes? Any advice or similar experiences people would like to share?

Engage a broker. You need to be applying to the right lender.

As advised you need a broker.

Do you know when it will drop off your credit report? It might be worth waiting.

Your credit score is meaningless. It is a randomly generated number that lenders neither see or use when assessing you.

My advice would be not to knowingly lie on the application form.

If the application does ask that particular question, then you can only truthfully answer YES.

But wait until you receive the application form, and read the questions very carefully :)
