I don't mind spiders as long as they are smaller than my head. Wasps are my personal bugbear, I am scared of them.
I have not done any ironing. Yet.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
I hate spiders too, we have had several large ones recently which I am afraid have been despatched. I am also allergic to bee and wasp stings, so steer well away from them.
Great drama here this morning (when isn't it a drama where OH is concerned) he shouted me went through and he was in the hall holding on to the cupboard door. Cannot bear weight on my left leg........ eventally got him to hop into the sitting room moaning all the way. Made him ring the Dr. Now he feels sick, whats that to do with the price of bread???? so I have put him back to bed. half way through the hopping process he announced that the pain had gone and he could walk...............aaarrgghhhh........I honestly wonder just how much more I can cope with...............
Not going to do the friday clean, it can wait, do need to clear out and set the fire though.
I had so much planned for today, hey ho not going to bother......0 -
Good morning
Best wishes to Mr TA for treatment and results and hope GERS Mum is feeling better.
It is a lovely morning now, but was very cold first thing. We have popped into town to visit the bank, went into Card Factory for some cards and bought a few things in M&S, one of which was YS. Shops seem to be showing some of their Christmas stock now. I actually don't mind but I know lots of people think it is much too early.
I have sent for a new carpet cleaner which is due to be delivered today, so guess what we will be doing this weekend. It was a really good buy on Am**on. The carpet in the hall and sitting room badly need doing.
I will be making some cakes this afternoon, we have nothing in the cake tin, so washing to be done, other than what we took off last night so all up to date.
DGD and BF are off to Florence next Friday for a few days so they are really looking forward to it.
Camelot have a wonderful time in Spain, you deserve it after all the work you have done in the house.
Have a good day all

Morning all,
thinking of Mr TA and Gers I hope all goes well for you both today.
I'm ok after my little 'wobble'. I figure i am going through empty nest syndrome. Never felt so abandoned.... with a touch of the poor old me's. Well i am going to have to get over it pretty damned quick because with 'Youngest' and hubby working away for the next 12 months i am going to have to get used to it. 'Youngest' got the start this morning and he starts on Monday. I felt it when the first 2 kids left home (within a few months of each other) but i'd not really felt it when the other two left home. I guess its come back to bite me on the bum.
On a positive note, now is the time for me to start a diet. I wont be cooking anyones favourites in the week and i wont have to juggle meal times round everyone else. I shall be going shopping the weekend with a shopping list just for me. Fingers crossed.
Did i tell you my daughter and her partner in SA are taking in a 7 year old boy until he can be adopted? Well they have collected him this morning and they are going camping, just the 4 of them to help with the bonding process. Well they have just sent me this picture.
Did i also tell you that hubby had bought a folding camper? Well he took it to work with him last week and has been sleeping in it to see what its like.... I gave him a few weeks for him to go off it. Well i was wrong. He rang me last night and has told me its a bit too small.
'Youngest' has just sent me a picture too of his new lady friend. Well not his lady friend but her dog. I told him he's got his priorities all wrong.:rotfl:

Had a healthy breakfast and home made chicken and veg broth for lunch. Middle dd and youngest are away this weekend so I can please myself more as to what I cook.
Middle dd called in this morning to collect the two dozen pizza wheels I baked this morning for her and her friends for the weekend away and we had a nice catch up.
Fingers crossed for mr and mrs TA, Lame Wolf and csarina as well as Judi and tru.

Great news Elona, congratulations to your daughter.
Been to docs with mum though she's back to 'normal' today. Doc couldn't find anything wrong so it just have been an ear thing.
My new car is ready earlier than anyone expected, DVLA are back on top of their game. So being in Glasgow is good as I can pick it up without a long drive down.
It's been a lovely lazy day really as I've sat and read as my mum pottered around the house.
Hope things have been good for everyone else.0 -
Evening all,
My day has been different as I have been on day one of a Paediatric first aid course for work. I now know how to shout for help and phone for an ambulance! Seriously though some of the stuff like putting plasters on paper cuts in case the person contracts septicaemia seems a little overcautious to me and I can't see the school budget stretching to a glut of plasters!!
We have DS2 's friends baby overnight. I'm so excitedI think DH must be too as he was up in the loft last night digging out the travel cot which hasn't seen the light of day for 16 years!.
Have a fab weekend0 -

My Grandson was 5 weeks old when we had him overnight. I was scared stiff! I was like a zombie doing his night feeds. He didnt settle after his 2 oclock feed for ages. By the time we both settled it was time for his next feed..... but he gave me his first smile and it wasnt wind either.

I don't mind spiders, if only they wouldn't build webs without planning permission!:D I usually evict them, for their own safety, as I wouldn't give much for their chances if a canine guest got them!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
