Win tickets to see Carmen at the Grove Theatre

Carmen.jpgHave you ever been to the opera? Yes? Then you're sure to love Carmen and if you haven't then this production is a perfect introduction.

So whether you are a seasoned fanatic, or opera is something which you have never experienced, we want you to be in the audience for the Ellen Kent production of Carmen at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable.

Hitting the stage on October 25, we've two prizes to give away. Our first prize winner will receive a pair of tickets to see the show on October 25, a bottle of Russian Methode Champagne, a Carmen Poster and a glossy, souvenir programme and our runner up will also receive tickets to the show as well as a programme.

With a large cast and the full Chisinau National Philharmonic Orchestra and chorus, this will be Ellen Kent’s premiere tour of Ellen Kent productions which have been produced, directed and co-ordinated by Ellen Kent herself creating a new company to tour Britain.

Carmen hopefully includes the special guest star a donkey* which has been loaned from the local sanctuary to raise money for the sanctuary.

Bizet’s masterpiece, Carmen, is a vividly colourful and passionate production. Carmen is inspired by Ellen Kent’s years in Andalucia as a teenager with a lot of the scenes based more on Malaga then Seville including a colourful group of gypsy dancers.

*Cast subject to change and the donkey may not appear at all performances.
