Samsung Galaxy 5 and Mini

Hi, I have only ever had a bog standard mobile phone which I only use occasionally, however it has finally given up on me. I have been told the Galaxy S5 is a good phone, but on checking the phone out I have come across the Galaxy Mini. Can someone please tell me the difference. I have thought that the Mini would be smaller, but I really don't know. Thanks in advance for any help

I have the Galaxy S5 mini and love it its a smaller sized version of the S5 .

Historically, all Samsung 'minis' have much poorer specifications than their 'bigger' relatives, i.e. have very little in common with them except the name and the release year.
