Cat deciding to come to us

Hi everyone I am stuck on what to do we have had a cat coming round the last week or so and they are very tiny, and looks like they have fleas, she has a collar but nothing with an address just a blue collar I know she belongs to no one on the road, cause I know everyone I was wondering what is the best thing to do, I cant really take it in as I have two in door cats myself and they probably wouldn't be happy, but with cold winter coming up I am getting worried that it may pass away, if I catch it up and take it to a vet or shelter if owners find out I was the one that took her to shelter could they say anything like I should not have touched there cat and just left it?
If it didn't have a collar I don't think I would worry as much but just clearly someone did use to care for this cat.

Best advice I can give would be to contact your local Cats Protection/vets, who may know if anyone has reported a cat like this missing. Having a photo of it would be very helpful to them.
CP may also have someone who can scan the cat for a chip (but remember the vast majority of them are volunteers and there is sadly a huge demand for their help). Also you may be able to take the cat to a vet yourself to see if it is chipped.0 -
While deciding what to do I suggest putting a bowl of dried food outside for your stray. Perhaps on outer window sill where it's reasonably sheltered and you can see that she is eating. Hate to think of her going hungry.:j got married 3rd May 2013 :beer:0

You probably have a local Lost/Found Pets or Lost/Found Cats Facebook group - if so and if you use Facebook, post a photo of the cat on there. If someone has lost a cat they may recognise it.
You could take it to a vet to get it scanned for a microchip.0 -
