I was all booked up for Corfu next year, just got an email from them, they have now decided not to fly there any more and have cancelled my holiday unless I want to go somewhere else..no I do not!
And of course all places on the other operators have that would suit have been long booked up now.
They can kiss my backside as this is one customer lost for life. Sorry vent over.

Did you book flight only or a Cosmos holiday or flight and hotel?

Hi, I booked a Monarch package holiday. (it seems to be a mirror of the Cosmos site of course but all the documentation says monarch)
They have offered £25 per person if I switch to another holiday, which would have to be to another country. Nothing if I just cancel.

Can you view your booking by logging in at the bottom of this page https://bookflights.monarch.co.uk/MemberBookingManager.aspx
If so does it list your flight details and 'cancelled'?
If it does, try and save the details as a PDF, or print or take a screen shot.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Sadly not. The only reference number quoted anywhere is the holiday booking reference and its a different format and not recognised.
To be honest a small gesture would have been something. I just think its bad they can pull the plug on something people have already booked up on, substantially no doubt. Why not do the honourable thing and pull the plug the year after and not sell any holidays for then.
How can anyone trust them in the future? I wouldn't.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -

Next year is still a long way away... I am confident that you will find something suitable if you keep on looking.0 -

It would only apply if they cancelled the flights within 14 days of departure.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

For compensation yes, for re-routing perhaps not, but it's a 'holiday' booking.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Thanks.. just managed to re-book with loveholidays instead, same place and date and price, only 'loss' is its a little further airport to go to but at least the car parking is cheaper there. Saved the day but it was the last room left and other may be looking for the same now!
We are meeting up with friends out there staying nearby and its a place we love, we were totally limited to our dates due to work limits so I could have done without being messed about.

We've booked with Love Holidays numerous times in the past. Excellent company (I know they are only a travel agent and not a carrier) and always give good customer service, very easy to contact.0 -
Cosmos Holidays is no more now. According to the Daily Rant and Rail, everything will be under the Monarch label.Normal people worry me.0
