Corrugated Sheeting on flat roof?

Hi,

I am considering putting some pvc corrugated sheeting on the (nearly) flat roof on our garage. It has a very slight fall on it from front to back, and is currently covered with bitumen felt. It has been weeping water into the garage, and re-proofing the felt with sealant was not effective.

therefore as a cheap and simple fix i was considering putting pvc corrugated sheeting on top of the existing roof covering. Is there any reason why this shouldn't work? I was fairly sure it would be fine then when about to press "order" for the sheets, saw the bit about high light transmission and got paranoid!

thanks
