Possible Tax refund?

I filled out an online form with this company http://www.refundsdirect.co.uk/
They say that I am due nearly £1200 in tax refunds. I am just wondering if they are a legitimate company and also, because they take a percentage, if there is any other way to claim this money other than through them?

Can't say whether they're legitimate compasny or not, but the best way to claim your money is via your tax office. They won't take a percentage either

they are a legitimate company but why oh why pay a percentage of your tax refund to them when all they will do s send a letter to the tax office claiming the refund - you can do this yourself !!!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

Hi Hunnybugs,
I think you may be talking about a rebate due to not having had Children's Tax Credit applied in 2001-2 and 2002-3. If so, then I've just applied for it myself. See the following thread:
