Sounds perfectly reasonable and lawful to me, thanks NYM.

None of this, of course, helps OP with his benefit issue.
  • Indeed it doesn't help in the fact that it is stuff I already know, I was only on 10mg of Amitriptyline and by God that stuff almost knocks me out within an hour an don't fully wake up next day till late afternoon time, I actually had an appointment yesterday with my doctor and have been prescribed some proper anti-depressants specifically for depression now which are 20mg (forgot the name could find it later though)

I also have to note I think it's unfair that it seems they likely they stopped housing benefit the second I left the building!!! Because it's practically only a few days later I got the letter yesterday that stated its been stopped an when I went in an told them about change of circumstances that I had now joined an apprenticeship they gave a form that my Apprenticship employer had to fill out they gave me another letter stating "you have until October 16th to provide evidence of change of circumstances or there will be a delay in your claim" surely they can get into trouble for that right?

Your HB was stopped because your JSa was stopped. You then had to complete a form to let them know what income you were receiving. You didn't do this.

Until they know exactly how much income you are receiving then they are not going to award you HB. For all they know you could be earning hundreds a week!

So, you have two choices. Wait until the rapid reclaim for your JSa starts and then your HB can start or go into the council with your latest bank statement (up to the day you go in) and lodger/tenant agreement and they may restart it based on no income.

Suspect you are going to have a wait whichever option you chooses.

As regards your landlord. Do you have a written agreement with him? Are you a lodger/a tenant? (ie. does he live with you?)

If you are a lodger then can you borrow the rent from someone until your HB comes through?

Did they actually start you working before you had the medical? Sorry if im reading the post wrong but it seems you were in the job one week then discovered you failed the medical.I would have thought any employer would not allow you to start until the medical was passed in case there was any reason to prevent you taking up employment.....
