2-bed apartment, no built in storage, removing en-suite

Just because the wall in pitched or angled or both doesn't mean you can't have fitted furniture. In a fitter myself and work for a company which I won't name but you would be suprised at how you can find plenty of storage in the tiniest of rooms.
If you can draw a floorplan of room with sizes and where bed is I'd happy advise on what.0 -
Don't forget that you would need the freeholders permission for this type of change, and if they approve it there would be a substantial admin fee. Without this consent they could ask you to reinstate it to the previous state.0

Can you not look for dead spaces in the flat such as above doorways or other places most properties have them.0

I had rejected number of houses on no storage options. We've been to one house, that had big bathroom, en suite, downstairs loo and NO space for built in wardrobe. The en suite was beautiful, but the only way I could live in it would be to rip it out. Which would be shame as it was brand new. In my mind someone didn't think this through.
Some designers are obsessed with multiple bathrooms-why, especially in small flat and with boiler that cannot take 2 showers simultaneously is really beyond me.
I agree you could always let new buyers change back into en suite if they wanted.
Also, realistically, how soon are you hoping to move? That is a big deciding factor too.0 -
Use second bedroom as wardrobe?
I suppose it depends how long you plan to live there- but ripping out an ensuite does seem drastic. If you are planing on moving in the next couple of years check with an estate agent on resale value0 -
What is the layout of the en-suite? Would it be possible to take out the shower and replace with a fitted wardrobe/cupboard but leave the basin and loo? If the boiler isn't good enough for both showers I wouldn't mind about losing that, but a second loo is always handy, even if it's in an odd place. It would depend on the layout as to whether you could make it look okay though!0

Probably a stupid question. But why buy a place that is so small that it has no room for storage.
As for the en suite. Even if it is remodelled into a storage room, it could easily be reinstated. The water and drains would still be in existence and easily reconnected if a new buyer wanted the room as an ensuite.0 -
If i was looking for a 2 bed apartment i would favor a walk-in wardrobe over an en-suite every day.
Although you get to say 'yay we have an en-suite' i would much rather have a beautiful walk-in wardrobe, with dressing area, mirrors etc.
No storage is a big put-off, and i wouldn't like to see the spare room used for storage because it then shows how little space there is everywhere else!0
