PO HomePhone price increases from 9 Novermber 2015:
www.postoffice.co.uk/broadband-mobile/pricing-notifications
HomePhone basic plan (with weekend calls) rises from £15 to £16.
The Evening & Weekend calls add-on rises from £1.50 to £2.50.
The Anytime calls add-on rises from £5.75 to £7.
Line Rental Saver - year's line rental for £144 (equiv. £12 a month) appears set to rise as well but not until 1 February 2016, not sure what the new price will be.
Some call charges are also increasing.
Under the new prices, an Anytime calls plan with the Post Office will rise from £20.75 to £23 (line rental of £16 + £7). Meanwhile BT's little advertised Home Phone Saver 2018 is £20.99, which also provides an anytime calls plan and the price is guaranteed until 2018 - though the slightly more expensive PO plan does include weekend calls to UK mobiles and also to 40 international destinations, which the BT plan doesn't. (Both have free caller display.)
(Meanwhile SSE's current Talk Anytime deal for £21 includes calls to 20 international destinations at any time of the week, not just weekends, though there are no inclusive calls to mobiles at any time - also worth noting that it's an 18 month contract.)

Hello
I ordered the line rental saver late November 2015 paying the £144 transaction up front, but have had additional separate charge added on my account bill that says its a 'subscription fee' of £48 (£40 fee +£8 vat). Which is the same £16/ month £144+£48=£192÷12=£16/month.
Is this correct? The phone is only for internet use so no charges from calls. I'm not sure where this fee came from, is this correct or can I dispute this fee? And has this happened for everyone or anyone else?
Thanks in advance.eBay 100 item challenge- 16/100 => £268.95

What did PO say when you asked them what this 'subscription fee' was?0 -
Hi
I opened my post late last night so I haven't been able to contact them yet. I was able to finally login and then finally view their webpage billing section properly on a laptop. As flash player elements on their site are not compatible on my android mobile and when loaded are illegible whilst other flash sites were fine. They are closed today I'll be contacting them this Monday to ask to query this.eBay 100 item challenge- 16/100 => £268.95

Hi yes the advisor explained it's because I renewed my product 2 days later, when my previous line rental expired. The charge is £12.20 not £48, and expiring later than on the original letter confirmed, end of Nov 16' but shifted to late Dec 16'. They're sending a letter to confirm.eBay 100 item challenge- 16/100 => £268.95
