Hi all,
I wonder if someone can help me, i have bought a new sony laptop that has Vista Home Premium Edition installed, this doesnt contain some of the features i need so i want to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, i have the MSDN edition so would like to upgrade to that one.
However sony have not provided any software cds and just a recovery partition so if i reformat to install vista ultimate ill lose all their software, can anyone advice the best way for an upgrade rather than a re-install (dont want to use the Windows Anytime upgrade as i already have a copy of Vista Ultimate)
Thanks
Ant

With the Anytime Upgrade, you have to re-install the original OS you upgraded from and then do the Upgrade again should you need to do a complete re-install.
There should be a utility on the laptop somewhere to create a set of recovery disks. If not, go to the Support section on Sony's website and see if it's there as a download.0
