Trade In Deals

In particular, I'm in the market for a chimney hood extractor and have seen some that I'm interested in with a £50 trade in offer. Trouble is I haven't got another extractor to trade in. Anyway around this?

In general when a trade in deal appears and you haven't got a similar product to trade in what's the best way to haggle
