my scanner is not being recognised by my pc at all and i get a usb bios error message - but i connected a external dvd rw to that usb port and it works - does this prove usb bios settings are correct?
i also reinstalled software/drivers but same error

the scanner does work as i have used it many times previously

Are you plugging your scanner directly into your pc or via a hub?0

Have you tried a different USB cable just to rule out a possibly faulty one? G0
