Non-ebay adverts coming from ebay email address

Just an update. I think the problem was related to my email browser. The spammers were in some way making my email browser display a legitimate ebay email address for the sender, whereas the emails were actually sent from the spammer's address.
I changed my email password and it seems to have cleared up the problem.0 -
Changing your password should not have made any difference to the emails, they have your email address and that has not changed.

Yes, it's not changing your password that solved the problem although doing so can never be a bad thing. Just remember that any email can be made to look like it came from an alternate address to what it actually did by fraudsters.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
