getting close to that time of year

Options
with less than 80 days left till Christmas, i am starting to look at Christmas presents for my daughter (age 7), and as prices go up and stock goes down the closer we get, i am aiming on buying her something within the next month.

so dilemma situation, she is currently using a nearly 3 year old tablet, which has a duel core CPU and 1gb of ram, but only cost £100 at the time, now she isnt bothered by the performance of it as such, but i can see that minion rush etc isnt the most smooth experience, as well as this she has recently broken the charger, and with a replacement being £8 (cheapest on ebay).

however when i went on amazon to check for charger prices as well i spotted the new fire tablet for £50, which made me think, it might be better to get a new tablet, than push on for another year with the old one, which is slow, unreliable (have to reboot it often because of freezes) and now needs money spending to get it working again.

so looking round i have found that there are more options than just the fire tablet, for £50 ish, (dont really want to spend much more) so after some thoughts about my pluses and minuses i have been considering with each

fire table
+ known brand, mayday support, parental controls built in, amazon support
- locked to amazon only apps, constant advertising and pushing of buying new things from amazon, no sure how the purchase of apps etc is limited, ie on current tablet i have not put any payment details in so nothing can be spent, but as i understand it the fire tablets are linked to my amazon account, which has my payment details on.

Currys/PC world, Hipstreet titan 4 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/tablets-and-ereaders/tablets/hipstreet-titan-4-7-tablet-8-gb-pink-10135655-pdt.html
+ Store based support if things go wrong (i am someone who will make a sceen in a store if they start fobbing me off), can be got in PINK (oh yes she loves pink), normal google play store, android lollipop
- it is from Currys/PC world, the previous versions of this tablet have not reviewed well

Fusion5 tablet on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B014B0XASI/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i5?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=146S2YFDZAQTQ3S43YW4&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=577049067&pf_rd_i=desktop
+ Amazon back up, normal google play store, android lollipop, slightly cheaper than the others (spend 'saved' money on a memory card for increased storage), most other tablets from this company seem to have good reviews on amazon
- not exactly well known brand, customer support potential a unknown factor

so is there anything i have potentially missed? all the basic specs are similar otherwise, and i am swinging between the thoughts of 'Amazon' - 'Pink' - 'Cheaper'
Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
