I am in London Zone 5 and work in Zone 5 on the other side of London.
Tube/train/bus: £10.90 per day, 1h 45min (can be cheaper if avoiding Zone 1, but then takes 2h 30min i.e. 5 hours each day - also can't get home if shift ends at 3am)
Driving: £4.50 per day, 50min - 1h 50min, depending on shift pattern.
Ignoring the fixed costs of running the car, as they are already paid for.
Yes, I'm trying to buy a new house closer to work but it's difficult to find one that's value for money.0 -
