Sound proofing bathroom and upstairs

We've just moved into a new house that has a bit of the downstairs converted into a bit of a grannie flat.
We thought this was fab and we'd be able to holiday let it.. Unfortunately my sister came to stay and we asked her to stay there so we could would out how sound proof it was and it's not at all!!!
The flats below our bedroom and bathroom. She's hearing us walk around and every time we flush the toilet, turn a tap on and even can her us weeing!!!!
She's not exaggerating either.. as we tested it!
It's ridiculous.. and the flat bedroom is below our bathroom.
On the opposite side we can hear them talking and the tv and them flushing the flat toilet from the bedroom and even them switching light switches.

The bedroom floor has got thick soundproof tiles below the carpet but they're making no difference.. but the bathroom is our main concern!
Obviously theres no way wed get people to stay there so any suggestions?
Don't even know how to start!
