Any football fans help with Real Madrid fixtures??

I'm looking at taking my other half to Madrid to catch a Real Madrid game to celebrate a "big" birthday early next year. Unfortunately, we can't go on his actual birthday due to work commitments but I'm looking at sometime in January - March next year.

When I go on the Real Madrid website it has all of the fixtures listed as TBC and Sat-Sun dates. Can anyone tell me when I can expect these to be confirmed?

I'm looking for cheap flights and there are a few weekends when it's significantly cheaper to fly back on a Sunday rather than Monday but knowing my luck the football would then be confirmed for the Sunday.

Also, am I right in thinking you can only buy general sale tickets about 10 days in advance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You used to be only able to get general tickets from the Monday before the game. Prior to that they just sell expensive VIP tickets.

It may be different now but when I went to a Real game in 1993 (against lesser opposition although I can't actually remember who) I bough a ticket either the day of the game or the one before.

Thanks @Browntoa. It looks like most of them are on Sunday's according to Sky Sports but why would the Real Madrid website still list them as TBC?

You should trust the Real Madrid website more. The reason why the games in future are mostly listed for 16:00 on a Sunday is because similar to the English Premier League, they have not yet decided which games over that period will be televised live and will therefore have the match date and/or time changed.

The difference between La Liga and the EPL is: The EPL (or more likely, Sky and BT Sport) decides a chunk of games at a time, and a few months of fixtures have their dates/times altered at once. La Liga tends to do it on a week-by-week (or maybe 2 weeks sometimes) basis, generally only fixing the dates/times around a month before the game in question. You can see that the latest confirmed game time is 08 Nov, about a month from now (and it's been put on a Sunday evening).

This makes it more difficult to plan trips from outside Spain to see them, as games can be any time from Friday night through to even Monday night (though Sat/Sun are most common). Of course the needs of international visitors don't get any consideration...
