Good afternoon.
I am due to remove an old built in wardrobe in my mother's caravan for her which includes a spotlight and was wondering what amp rating terminal block should I use to make the bare wires safe. They appear to come in 3, 5, 10,15, and 30 amp.
Thank you

What voltage is the power supply into the caravan? If it is 240 volt, you could use a 5 amp block. Most 240 volt lights are backed up by a 3 amp fuse so 5 will be adequate without being too big. Remember to use a double block with each wire separate. Do NOT connect the two wires together!0

It shouldn't really matter - as there's no current flowing through the wires. It's more a case of finding one that the wires will fit into comfortably yet securely ( the higher rated ones usually have larger holes to accommodate thicker wires ). Lighting circuits are usually fused at 5 amps, but as I say there'll be no current flowing anyhow.
I'm not familiar with caravans - does it run off 240 volts via a cable from the mains, or is it 12 or 24 volts or something ? Not that it should matter - as long as the wires are securely fixed into the terminal block and can't touch each other then you'll be fine. I always wrap mine in insulation tape afterwards as well - it's not really necessary, but it's just a belt 'n' braces approach to remove any possibility of someone touching a live terminal.0
