After months of hesitation from HSBC (June) I have finally been offered a payment back from them.
How do I check to see if the payment I have been offered is correct?
They don't seem to give a break down of the figures and how they got to the decision, its just a offered figure!

Ask them for a breakdown..
Unless they specifically say it's a goodwill gesture, then you will only get what you actually aid, plus the attendant interest, plus 8% simple interest depending on what the product was.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
