in House buying, renting & selling
But my money from halifax hasn't come through yet ( we haven't exchanged anyway) , don't feel like packing any stuff up when I don't know if the jobs on or not👎

    Were you planning to exchange and complete on the same day? That's unusual if there is a long chain.

    What is your solicitor saying about exchange and completion dates (and when did they say it)?

    Was today's date mentioned a few weeks back as a 'nice to have' date? Or has it been confirmed as a real possibility in the last day or two?

    I'd be surprised if the money did come through first thing in the morning .... I'd be concerned to discover you hadn't even started packing. You'll be in a sudden rush once it happens as, at that point, it'll all happen in a flash and you're supposed to be out.

    You haven't packed yet? wow, that's going to be a stressful time when you're potentially hours away from having to vacate....

    Hmmm... having re-read your post, I wonder if you're actually trying to say something completely different...

    i.e.

    "Property buying is frustrating. Some weeks back we all set today as a target completion date.

    However, today has arrived, and my mortgage offer isn't even through yet. So I haven't even exchanged contracts - let alone completed."

    Lol we are packed and have shifted almost everything , just small furniture items , bin bags of clothes , TVs to move.

    lol yes had my mortgage offer for weeks , today was only set in stone last Monday so I guess it's kind of a rush job
