Hello,
Looking for some help.
I don't understand how the purchasing of Office 365 works. Hypothetically (for college work) I need Office for 12 laptops for sales agents as well as one on pc at head office.


Do I buy 12 separate copies? Or do I buy 1 copy and pay monthly for 12 licenses or do I buy 3 copies that each do 5 machines?


Sorry if this all sounds like a stupid question but I've been on goggle for days and still none the wiser.
In my defence, I am only three weeks into my course at college and I am trying. Thank you in advance

You get 'per user' licences, so assuming that the one at head office is a different person to the 12 sales agents, you would need 13. So either 13 monthly or annual subscriptions, the cost of which will depend on what features you want.

Also worth noting that some versions of Office 365 aren't licensed for Business use. See here for instance - some versions are only valid for Home use.
