Balance transfer

I have 2 cards, and was wondering if I could to the below. One has 20 months 0% balance transfer.

Could I make a purchase on one, it is about 6k, then the following week transfer the balance from the other to the 6k balance card. It is within the limits, and I have has these two a week, and have 60 days to make any balance transfer. It will be paid off before the 20 months us up.

The reason I ask is that I only have 6 months at 0% for purchases. Transferring the balance gives me an additional 14 months at 0%

Yes you can, but beware the balance transferring fees. You may be better served getting a 0% Purchase card that lasts longer than 6 months. That way you wouldn't pay the fee either.
