Name mis-spelled on Probate?

Will try to keep this short, but there has been a family rift since my sister died.
Under intestacy, my mother is next-of-kin and the only beneficiary of the estate.
She originally asked me to help with probate application, then changed her mind.
Someone else has stepped in to make the application, but apparently has spelled my sister's name incorrectly (one letter wrong).
Does this invalidate the probate?
I don't want to get involved after all the earlier problems,(she's a cantankerous old so-and-so) but neither do I want to find that my mother has been unable to close the bank account and been left frustrated.

Probably not a question of it being invalid ( it probably is if challenged) but really depends on whether the bank, or other organisations who need to see it, accept it (or even notice).
Does the name on the probate match the spelling on the death certificate ? - if not, then I am surprised the probate registry didn't notice.
If you ring the probate helpline, they will probably advise that the document needs to be re-issued , and that if the mistake isn't their's there will be costs involved.0
