5p for carrier bags

I like the 'fold up nylon' ones. I have two in my handbag right now. but then I live in Wales too and we are well used to the 5p bag charge.
and you can chuck them in the wash if they are dirty. half hour on the radiator and they are dry again, folded and replaced in my handbag. oh and there is a couple in the car. and for our 'main shop' we have the 'spotty bags' aldi sold. kept in coat cupboard and we never forget them. its very rare I have to actually buy a carrier bag.
and I have noticed a difference in the environment. before the bag charge I had loads of carrier bags being deposited by the wind in my front garden. its rare now. that can only be a good thing.0 -
I bought the trolley dolly bags for xmas, one for both Mums and a half price offer one for me. I love it. :j
I also have a zip up fold into bag which I keep in my everday handbag. DH got it as a freebie from a take-away place a few years ago.
I've hardly got any carrier bags left. All mine seemed to 'die' not long after the charge came in. I suspect it's because we switched to shopping at aldi some months ago so had been re-using our stash quite a bit.
Some years ago I bought a net/string bag from M&S. I think it was called a 'turtle bag' I can't find it unfortunately but it held a lot of items.
I also bought a tartan tote in new look for £1 because with all the bags I have, there's none I think ideal for clothes shopping. Anyone got any recommendations?0 -

Happy new year
