I've just noticed a couple of new searches from capital one appear on my noddle credit file, the reason says

Checking Credit Application - (Associate Link Search)

I didn't apply to Cap one for any credit on the dates of the searches

What does "Associate Link Search" mean?

    Someone you have a financial association with (perhaps a spouse or partner with whom you share a joint current account or mortgage) has made a credit application to Capital One.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. ;)
