So, what is the reality, if someone can confirm (who has already switched to First Direct), what happens after first six months. Does the charge start to apply regardless the £1000 pay in and or using their other qualifying products?

Anyhow, I am going to apply to this account in time being, just wanted to know of other's experience on here.

If you read the terms it is much clearer. They don't charge at all for the first six months.

Managed to get to the completion of my First Direct 1st Account application couple of hours ago. Forgot to take some screenshots for reference, maybe should have, since I did not get any notification email or sms for successful acceptance. Hopefully they'll notify me in coming days.

They take so long to issue the card reader. I should have opted for using the phone app!
