I wasn't confused I was only guessing re when the standing order is set up. When I click to 'apply' it says minimum £25 required, or something along those lines, which made me assume that the first deposit or SO must be made as part of the application to prevent people jut having dormant accounts. I didn't click any further as I wanted to wait for my current account to be fully functional before I do the next bit.

Just reading the TSB blurb on this account and it says you can set up a SO as part of the application process OR if done afterwards you need to set up a SO from your TSB current account within 30 days of account opening date.

When I opened my monthly saver in branch I was told the SO HAD to be from m TSB current account but other posts say not so perhaps I was given wrong advice? Also opening the MS in branch she manually transferred the first £250 from my current account in front of me and then set up the SO for the first of each of the remaining 11 months.

If TSB withdraw the account or lower the interest rate before the end of the month its going to blow a hole in their 555 promotion campaign! May become the 55 or the 553.5 campaign!

Stranger things have happened in the world of banking I suppose.

They might not withdraw the account, but it's not impossible that between now and the end of November they have reason to change the account.

They could potentially reduce the deposit limits or even the fixed term of the account for new customers without needing to lose the '555' branding (just like Santander who upped the fees instead of dropping the '1-2-3'). Not likely in such a short space of time, I know, but knowing my luck...

Sorry? You're pulling (or think you're pulling) the TSB Monthly Saver funds from Lloyds by DD? Or have I misunderstood?

My mistake its a SO from lloyds not a DD, its my TSB credit card that the DD is used for...

Regarding the saver, can you open it at any time after you have the current account or is there like a given period upon opening the TSB current account that you must open it to get the 6%?

For some reason I seemed to have missed the regular saver option.
My question is please , both me and my wife have 6 current accounts between us , so how many regular savers can we open ?, I guess it's only one per person , am I correct?.
    Thankyou.
