Can you recommend a quality kitchen

Options
I am looking for a new kitchen can anyone recommend a good quality make. I have looked at MFI and Howdens and they seem to have the same kitchens - are they the same quality?

I have heard magnet and John Lewis's Jonelle range are also very good.

Any help appreciated.

A lot of retailers buy from the same sources so you can indeed get the same kitchen in different shops.

(FWIW, MFI actually own Howdens Joinery..)

Good evening: Have you considered Ikea and using an independent fitter? Many satisfied MSErs on this thread (and the odd dissenter;))

  • Bought a solid birch kitchen recently from clickkitchens.co.uk - very pleased with it. Really great quality.

Not any more they don't. Some of the earlier MFI/Howdens kitchen ranges are still the same (Howden's used to supply MFI), but they are no longer associated and use different suppliers. Their newer kitchen ranges are nothing like MFI and the guy I spoke to from Howdens the other day said they are more and more going in different directions and are totally disassociated from each other.

It depends on your budget. I went into my local kitchen store and saw some lovely ones (made by Wentworths), but they were a little over my budget. MFI had a couple of nice ones, but I think we will end up with a Howden's one. We want to spend money on other things in the house....

I've found it very hard choosing though. Esp with a hubby who doesn't share the same tastes as me!!
