Can anyone recommend wher I can get one at a competitive price!?

We got an electric one from B&Q - chrome, and about 1.2m I think (from memory). I think it was about £130-140 (this was a couple of years back now).

Screwfix also had some good deals, but not ones you could convert to electric, only the plumbed-in ones.

Screwfix was the cheapest I found a few weeks ago. Just over £100 for a big one, which plumbs in, yes.

Found www.taptrade.com very good, better quality than b & q 22mm tubes rather than 19mm

Tonnes of cheap ones on eBay. I bought mine from the seller designerbathroom and it is really good. Also factor in the cost or the radiator valve. For the bathroom there is nice chrome thermostatic radiator valve by Drayton which is about £45 pounds in homebase, but I have also seen them on ebay less than half that price. If you have TRV's throughout your whole house you will get a slightly higher energy efficiency rating on a HIP survey.

I got mine from bathstore.com - they do them straight and curved and in all different sizes. still looks good after a couple of years.
