USB Electric Socket

Hi

I've changed my double socket which was double pole with a new double socket but it's a single pole. I've wired it up and both sockets work as does both USB sockets.

Wondering if I should replace with double pole which was originally there or if this is ok and safe.

Thanks
Regards,

  • "Double pole" usually usually refers to a switch, rather than a socket, and means a single switch controlling two circuits.

Perhaps someone else will know, but while I know what a double pole switch is, I've no idea what a double pole socket is.

It refers to the switches on the socket, double pole switches live & neutral, single pole just switches live. Single is fine.
