Plenty of Premierinns, Travelodges, Holiday Inns, Ibis near stations around London. We have stayed in Stevenage during half term for £39 a night, 5 minute walk to station, 20 minutes to Kings Cross.

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

I’ve moved your thread from the ‘I wanna’ board to the ‘UK Holidays, Days Out & Holidays’ board, where it is better suited.

Which direction are coming in from? You really need somewhere your side of London to avoid travelling across or around London to get there.

Cricklewood Travelodge, not far from the M1 and in NW London currently has family rooms for Thurs 29/10 £66 and Fri 30/10 £52, but yo will need to be quick as it says 263 people have viewed the hotel today so far and with it being the half term, family rooms go quick. 5 mins walk to Cricklwood station for direct train to Kings Cross. 15 minute walk to KIlburn tube station with direct trains to Green Park for (Buckingham Palace), Waterloo (for London, Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Dungeons, Aquarium), Baker Street (Madam Tussauds). Bus goes form near the hotel to Marble Arch/Oxford Street and Victoria if you are comign into their by megabus, coach or train. Kids each breakfast free with each paying adult and it is a good help yourself buffet type. Check out reviews on Tripadvisor.

You have probably left it a bit too late to get a good deal for this half term, as usually the best deals are got by booking in advance. For example during the Christmas hols a lot of hotels have reasonably priced family rooms e.g Sun 20/12 Premier Inn hotels like Harrow, Watford Croxley, Edgware, are £29 for a family room and have a tube station nearby and the Monday is £39. Kids get breakfast free with adults paying for breakfast. Wembley Park PI is beside the tube station and a similar rate currently.
