Worried I may have picked wrong conveyancer

Hi,
I am in the process of buying a house. I have a mortgage broker and have a mortgage in principle thats looking good.
Anyway I have arranged for Convey Law to be my solicitor. Stupidly I never looked at reviews beforehand as they have won awards like "Gold - UK Conveyancer Estate Agency of the Year 2014" amongst others so I thought these seem good enough. I rang up and paid £300 up front for searches or whatever. They have sent me out a form to fill in and send them my I.D etc.
So i was online and searched Convey Law on google. there is loads of bad reviews on google so now I am starting to have 2nd thoughts.

Has Anyone had any experience with this firm?

Online review sites are not particularly helpful. They are a mixture of glowing reviews and bad ones, and don't really give any indication of how satisfied customers are on average. Many people are only motivated to write a review if they are really angry.

The truth is the level on service you'll get will largely depend on the individual delivering the service.

You should have perhaps sought personal recommendations before you appointed a conveyancer, but I wouldn't changed now.

Thanks. I didnt think about the reviews in that way. Food for thought. I guess most people only feel the need to rant if they had a very bad experience. Well I suppose I will probably stick with these. Fingers crossed

Bear in mind that service can vary from one individual to another in the same firm. Dont be afraid to ask to change handler if there are issues

I hope this is going okay for you - I have used them for the past too many weeks and it has not been good - i've heard better things about different teams though so I have my fingers crossed for you!
