Switching Bank Accounts for people on Benefits (old age pension)

Hi

I wonder if someone could advise me about helping my Mum switch her bank account? She receives a DWP payment into her current account for her pension.

We'd like to take advantage of the Nationwide refer a friend offer but she needs to know if it will cause a problem with her DWP payment as she relies upon the income.

Does anyone who receives DWP payments e.g. pensions or other payments have any experience of switching accounts and know if the nationwide would arrange the transfer of payments or will she have to contact the DWP in order to maintain payments.

Any info is appreciated.

Thank you.
