Old Loans

I wonder if anyone could help me please. We have been with Lloyds since 1991 and in the early days, had a number of loans with them, we were always persuaded to take out PPI despite us both working for a big car manufacturer, with good redundancy packages. We have recently asked for all our paperwork to be sent to us, which cost us £20 as we have a joint account and had to pay £10 each. We have had masses of paperwork sent to us, but it only goes back to 2002 and it was before that that we had most of our loans. We no longer have the loan paperwork which I got rid of about 5 years ago. Is there anyway I can still claim on these earlier loans, or will they just say their records don't go back that far? I would be grateful of any advice please.

If you have sent a SAR and they have sent all info they hold, and the loan paperwork doesn't appear in there, and you have none, I'm afraid your compaint is over.
Howeve, someone may come along who has more info on SAR information.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Is it possible there is more info to come?.
Have they said that is all the info they have?.0 -
Thank you, I am sure you are right, it's just so frustrating when I know we would have paid out a lot for PPI, but it appears there will be nothing we can do. Thank you for replying.0

I would go back to the bank and ask for all info since this account was opened including any data which is held in microfiche e.g. transaction histories as these may show the loans, the ppi figure and the reference numbers for each one you took out in the 1990's. Mention that you believe the SAR is incomplete because other customers have obtained data going back further than 2002, and your account has been open since 1990's. If they still say there's nothing else, try the ICO route. Best of luck.0
