How to cancel sim only taken out 7 days ago..?

Hi there

My other half took out a sim only deal (12m) with Three on 25th Sept. They didn't realise that the signal for Three is shockingly bad where we live and we want to cancel it.

The contract has a 30 day delay so won't start until end of October. I phoned up the store and they said they won't cancel it. Had this been purchased over the phone we would be ok to cancel. Surely we have a right to cancel a service we've bought within a 7-14 day window?

Can anyone advise?

No. Never have - you went into the shop and made an informed purchase. Coverage where you live needed to be imvestigated first before deciting (PAYG is good for this). Your cancel window covers mail order only, not retail purchases.

Was the coverage checked instore before purchase ? if so was the coverage accurate, if not there's an argument you were mislead

If coverage in the home is the only problem, try the three intouch app, routes calls and texts over WiFi

3's coverage checker is not what it is actually on the ground. SoGA may apply
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring

No statutory cooling-off period applies if you buy in-store, so you are reliant on the supplier's own cancellation policy.
