I'm going to Lisbon early September for ten days with the h2b and am looking for recommendations for places to see, eat, drink etc.
We like galleries and live music, good food and dancing, but don't speak a word of the language.
Any tips you can share?
Thanks!

I went to Lisbon for a week in May and had a great time.
If you get the chance I would go to Sul, a restaurant on Rua Do Norte in the Bairro Alto area. It serves delicious Mediterranean and South American food. The staff are very helpful and will translate the menu for you. My recommendation would be to get the steak which you cook yourself on a hot stone. The steak was the delicious and very tender.
Also, I'd also recommend going to Sintra, which is a short train ride from the centre of Lisbon. It's a lovely town with a moorish castle and several palaces.
Travelling around Lisbon is very cheap. I'd recommend getting a 5 day travel card (similar to an Oyster Card in London), which costs about 14 euros and gives you unlimited travel on the metro, buses, trams, and funiculars/elevators.
Hope this is of help.0 -
