Credit card charge

Some years ago I knew somebody who was running a business where they surcharged CCs by a similar amount. It was because they were very prone to "buyer's remorse". As the transactions were done over the phone, buyers would simply dispute the transaction. They had a huge number of chargebacks. I wonder if this company suffer a similar problem - they experience a number of disputes/chargebacks. (A reason to be cautious.)0

The 10% charge is outrageous and should not be accepted.0

That seems very logical!0 -
In that case, surely the surcharge would also be refunded, leading to them with a net gain of zilch! Anything over 2% and you have to wonder if it's really worth it... I've got a holiday to book this month, and if they charge anything above 2%, I shall only pay a small deposit for the protection, and the rest on Debit Card...chattychappy wrote: »Some years ago I knew somebody who was running a business where they surcharged CCs by a similar amount.
