I found an old statement for a credit card with PPI. I remember taking out the card in 1997 to pay for my honeymoon. The one statement has PPI on it. I was self employed. RBS are saying I have to find all my statements as they dont have any records before 2001. Where do I stand?

In front of your filing cabinet, looking for old statements.
If you don't believe them, then you could invest £10 in a SAR, but it's very likely they don't have any records, which means it's up to you to provide the evidence.0 -
When did you close this account? If later than 2001 then RBS maybe able to locate the credit card statements. If you make a complaint and they decide to uphold they have to base the redress (according to FOS guidelines) on what evidence they do have. I would send a SAR or call credit card services SAR dept.0
