Hi. Not sure whether to most this in House and Home or Tech. Well it's a bit Techhie so here goes.....
Quite simply I'm looking for a clock (bedside or wall) with a large digital display for the time. Also if it had the DAY of the week on it that would be perfect.
The only thing is - I need it to auto-update the time - like for example on October 25th when the clocks go back.
Buying for elderly relatives hat need the display to be readable (i.e. - not tiny) and they would have difficulty be able to change the settings themselves etc.
Fire away. Thanks.

maplin sell them, though the day display might be more difficult to find if you want a bright large display style
John lewis have a wide range of plugged in clock radio's for you to have a play with, most sync the time nowadays either from broadcast or time signal.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
Any radio controlled clock will keep you up to date with time updates.
Aldi and Lidl get radio controlled clocks at least once a year, both Didgital and Analogue.
We have one of each.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Aldi do one, about £12-£15, huge digital display, radio controlled time setting, I think it might even be in at the moment.
Problem with all these clocks though, is a poor time signal can cause them to think they're in a different time zone.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

the digital signal is quite bad around here - had to go back to FM radio because of it.
Was hoping for one with built-in daylight saving time. Kind of like how your laptop does it automatically twice a year without being radio controlled.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -

AFAIK, clocks use absolutely independent country-wide special 'MSF' signal from Anthorn (from Rugby before 2007).
That said, in my house in Eeast Midlands I often have to move my desktop clock (from Aldi) to the north facing room to get it updated. However a weather station with radio controlled clock updates without problems with the signal from Germany (a gift from Europe that unfortunately has only the German signal receiver built in).0
