Still misty and grey here so leaving laundry till tomorrow.

Older dd and sil having a nice time in Greece. Will meet other older dd in York around one, mooch round some shops and have a coffee.

Middle dd phoned early this morning. She has an all day meeting in York so asked if she could come over for breakfast. We both had a quick chat, tea and bacon and egg with a slice of toast before she had to dash off. She is staying overnight so want to quickly cook a couple of dishes for tonight.

    Good luck at the hospital.

    Hugs to all

  • Morning, The sun is out, it has burnt off the mist. Its quite cool though. The log man came just after 10am. It was a huge bag, which they unloaded and stacked for us. So apart from another delivery of coal we are set for now.

OH has an appointment for a hearing test this afternoon, so I am going into Morrison to get the rest of the bits I need for the next month.

The washer is still half full of water, one of our neighbours is coming round tonight to move the washer and empty it, I have found that we can open the door by pulling as tab under the bottom fascia. Knowing my luck the tab will break off and I still will not be able to get the laundry out of the machine.

I plan to order the new one to be delivered on Monday.

    Well done to whitesage!

I've waited in and electrician is another no-show. We have a concept here called 'Argyll time' which means that people will come, eventually!

I've booked a mobile valet to come to do the inside of my car - it's been over a year since it was done so it's growing alien life in places.

Apart from that I've done vacuuming upstairs and cleared out the boot of the car (well, at least somethings). I've also brought in some logs to store by the side of the stove just to be handy.

Tonight a glass of wine will be drunk! :j

Hello everyone, a beautiful bright day here, washing blowing on the line and I have dough rising for a pizza. Really enjoying reducing my hours at work, though I really have done very little of note this week. Except for cleaning the bathroom, hardly earth-shattering but at least that is sparkling, though probably not for long!
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Hello everyone, we had the fog yet agin but today it had gone before 9am when I took DGS to nursery. Came back pegged some more washing out for DD managed to get it dry and ironed and put away for her. DGS has gone to his Dad's after nursery until Sunday. So DD has gone out for tea with a friend, his Dad wanted to change the plans, we are taking away Mon-Fri next week to Cleethorpes and then he was supposed to be going for 2 weeks to his Dad's. Well DD gets a text can he have next week for 2week instead of the planned weeks. We go to Norfolk on the 12th for 11 nights, so she'd have no child care for a week. So she told him no, he's going away with us next week and will then go to Norfolk with us. He is always changing or trying to change things at the last minute. He phoned a couple of weeks back saying he might not have him, then he was having him. DD said he'd got to let her know so could change our booking ASAP but he assured her everything was going ahead as planned, well it's changed. So he's taken this weekend instead. He said he can't then have him until 26th November, he'll have got plans with his lady friend . So glad I got that off my chest sorry for the rant.
OH managed to get 5kg of Bramley apples for £1 so I've stewed some ready to do 2 pies whilst I'll have the quiche in for tea. Tomorrow I'll do some stew some more and then freeze so I can do pies or crumble.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
