But my credit file states that it was updated July 2013. Will the default still go off my file July 2016 or has it been extended to July 2019 now?

Halifax said they have no record of my account with them and it says settled on my file now. But I just need to know is it possible for an already existing default to be extended once it is sold to a third party??0

2016 it will goDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

It and the account will drop off your credit file 6 years from the initial default date.
So 2016 here.enfield_freddy wrote: »did you contact Halifax , or there collectors back in 2013?
