Can anyone tell me if a bungalow has a load bearing wall inside?I live in a 2 bedroom bungalow which I would like to turn into a one bedroom,to make bedroom one bigger. Are all the out side walls the ones that take the load?I understand that it would take money off the value as I am not thinking of moving thats ok.Hope this makes sence

It could well be that the ceiling joists are resting on the wall you want to remove, in which case it would be load bearing. I suggest you go into the loft and see what's going on up there.

Google for descriptions of roof trusses and traditional rafters and see which you have.

If a truss, it is unlikely to be a supporting wall.

Even if it is a support wall, then you can probably remove it and install a steel beam (RSJ) support. And if need be at sale time, put a timber stud wall back up
