Help with ipad

in Techie Stuff
I have just done an update on the ipad and now its no longer working. It starts up and goes to setup screen but, when I get to where I put password in it just freezes. I cant get passed this point at all. Is there anyway I can get back into it? Any help at all is very much appreciated

This happened to my Dad, I ended up having to restore it using this https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204306
Unfortunately he didn't do a back up before updating:(Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
