1 GB Micro SD card £6.99 delivered at Play

What's the deal?
Play is currently offering a 1GB Micro SD card for £6.99 including delivery.
What are Micro SD cards?
Micro SD cards are used in many new mobile phones and some compact cameras due to their tiny size and large storage potential, yet buy one from a mobile shop and you'll pay waaay over the odds.
They are a smaller version of the SD flash memory card format, not to be confused with the slightly bigger mini SD and or the original SD card.
This 1 gb version from Play's supplied with adaptors to make it fit bigger SD card applications (ie cameras, older phones) although if you don't need one this small, then bear in mind you can buy more spacious mini SD and regular SD cards for this price.

I think I can beat that. I bought one from Amazon for the ridiculously low price of £2.34!. I paid an extortionate amount of postage (£4.23) but the total was still only £6.57.
Here's the link. The prices change so often that there may even be a cheaper offer..... Oh I've just seen one for £2.24!
I've found that for small items like memory cards, USB sticks etc Amazon nearly always have a very competitive deal. If you can combine your purchases to get free delivery then even better. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
How do you know it's compatible with your phone or any other device??? It justs says most - knowing my luck!
If someone can let me know if my phone of digital camera is compatible - would be very grateful!
Sony Ericsson W850i
Pentax K100D Digital Camera.
There's a couple of people who added a review and they found it wasn't compatible with their devices - just wanna find out for sure rather than buy it & find out then.

I would have thought the adaptor was for a card reader not an alternative device? Though I could be wrong!0 -

I always managed to buy something then find out later I don't have as many options as I thought!
Everytime you want to buy something nowadays you have to major research before buying it - but you can still get 'caught out'!
... mind you just saw 1gig card on Amazon for 4.99 - not bad... I brought one last year for £22 and that was in a sale!
wouldn't it be nice if I could swop my memory cards to my mobile and my digital camera - wish things were more compatible with each other - but where's the money/profits in that!Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later date

I followed your link to buy one for both myself (seeing as it had an adaptor) and husband. When I came to check out it seems that you have to pay for two lots of postage! I would have thought that buying from the same company they would send the two out for the same postage or at the very least a reduced rate. I have just ordered the one for now because of this. It is still an excellent price though, just can't afford the two lots of postage at present.0
