Hi,
What is the best stuff to fill narrow gap where between window frame and wall, and also between window ledge and window frame ( both wooden ) ?
Looks like there has been a bit of movement some time...
A while back there was earth tremor epicentre of which was Bristol Channel area ( we are in S Devon ) my OH was in that day and said the whole building definitely swayed ( apartment block of which we are top floor ) Don't think OH had been drinking
Anyway, that's all bye the bye - I was thinking either silicon or caulking, but don't know what would be best ?
Thanks

Go with caulk - you can paint over this and wallpaper over it. You cannot paint over silicone. Caulk is also cheaper and easier to use - a wet cloth will clean up the job.
Externally you would be better off with silicone, but you can buy an acrylic frame sealant that will after some time be weather proof. I am not too trusting of this product, so that will be your decision.0 -
Cheers Furts !
Yep good point about being able to paint over the caulk - I will be emulshioning that room, and I remember painting bathroom and I had to remove the silicon that was between cabinet and wall, as the paint wouldn't stick to it ( pain in the arris job getting the silicon off as well )
Thanks again for the speedy advice bud.0
