I have discovered that the Windows 10 64 bit KMS key (NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43) appears to work on ANY PC - ie Not just upgrades
Also it appears to have no restrictions/end date !!

have you tried (elevated command prompt) / slmgr /xpr , ?0

From what I know that this is a legitimate key to be used for setting up fully activated windows 10 KMS with the 10240 build that Microsoft allows people to use and start free trial period.0
-
however I have this key on one machine , and when you type the above in (slmgr /xpr ) it expires in less than 5 mths0
-
When I open a CMD prompt and type "slmgr /xpr" I get a pop up Windows Script Host - informing me that the computer is in Notification Mode !!
What does that mean ?
(incidentally - this is on a TRIAL NUC - so not important)0 -
it is not registered with Microsoft , is this a new install? if so , go to updates and it will register ,
is it showing as registered , if so you are on trial period
are you getting this
