Experian CreditExpert - warning do not forget password

Just tried logging in to CreditExpert to check if I was still paying.

I forgot my password so I followed the "forgot password" instructions, everything looked fine, then they ask for the CVV number from the back of your credit/debit card - you'd assume to confirm your identity...no! They sign you up again!

CreditExpert not only bundle fraud insurance as per Martins article on reclaiming but also sneakily sign you up when you try logging in again!!!

    Hi Feyaz.

When your membership is cancelled you will still have access up to the date you have paid till, or the end of the 30 day trial.

If you log in after this time your membership is reactivated and the monthly charge is taken. We do advise of this payment when you are reactivating and ask you to re-enter your card details to confirm payment, I’m sorry that you did not find this was clear.

If you give us a ring on Freephone 0800 5610083 we can make sure that your membership is cancelled, and arrange a pro-rata refund for the remainder of the month.

    Kind regards
    Neil
