Goods in Transit Insurance Claim

Hi
We own a local Man and Van business and recently we have had a client trying to claim for numerous damaged items which we absolutley deny doing.
we were only notified of the damage nearly 2 weeks after the removal (we moved them into storage) and also after another removal company had taken their things out of storage so we wasnt the last people to handle their belongings. The client says we did the damage as apparently they saw it on the day of the removal but they never mentioned anything about it.
Our insurance company have declined the claim on these grounds but now the client is saying they do not accept this and are instructing a solicitor.
My question is, what can the client do if the insurance company says we are not liable for the damage, could the client still take us to court and would they have grounds to do so.

Do you have any Terms and Conditions you give customers?
Do the T&Cs have any terms about in what period the customer must notify you of claims?0
